Will my dog have diarrhea?

Dogs can sometimes experience diarrhea when their diet is changed, especially if the transition is abrupt. Dogs have sensitive digestive systems, and sudden changes in their food can disrupt the balance of bacteria in their gut, leading to diarrhea. However home cooked food is easier to digest therefore minimizing the chance. First feeding of HACHI, you can begin by mixing about 25% new food and 75% old food, gradually increasing the proportion of the new food while decreasing the old food, Over the course of about 7-10 days.

 

Will the poop smell?

All poop smells but some smell more than others. Several factor might affect the intensity of poop smell. Raw food or new food. When food takes longer to digest it will smell more. Which means uncooked food will smell more than cooked one. This also means when introducing new food which the stomach is not accustomed to will affect its smell. HACHI is a cooked meal and it has limited ingredients. This means it is most likely easier to digest. That being said, high meat content which your dog needs will also contribute to smellier dog poop. But this is inevitable.

 

Is it better than raw diet?

HACHI is cooked. Meaning HACHI is easier to digest and absorb. It also has a very balanced calcium to phosphate ratio. An Unbalanced calcium to phosphate ratio will contribute to constipation.

 

How is this better than other homecooked brands?

HACHI is 100% grain free.

 

Can HACHI mix feed with raw diet/ kibble?

We don’t recommend mixing with other food in a bowl to feed as it will affect its nutritional balance. However it is ok to mix it into a separate meal. But it might impact the benefit of HACHI.

 

How long does it take to see results?

The time it takes to see results from a change in diet can vary widely depending on several factors, including the nature of the dietary change and body's response. In short, it would take roughly anywhere from weeks to months.

 

Is there any other meat in HACHI Mackerel?

No, the only meat sauce is from mackerel.

 

Will my dog lose weight?

If fed the correct portion, while not affected by other food such as treats, dogs will slowly gain or lose weight to assume a more ideal and healthy weight.

 

Can I feed my dog HACHI Mackerel if he doesn’t have any skin condition?

Yes, however HACHI Chicken with Butternut Pumpkin have better general health benefits compared to Hachi Mackerel with Butternut Pumpkin & Shiitake that is more focused on skin and coat health only.

 

My dog is very sensitive, is it ok to take HACHI?

It depends on which type of ingredient that your dog is sensitive to. HACHI has a very limited type of ingredients, therefore the likelihood of a sensitive reaction is very low.
